As it sometimes happens-our plans DO NOT jibe with the cat’s plans. This was certainly so with Bat as he
was not a ‘happy camper’ showing. We think he ‘coulda been a contender’, but that’s the way it goes-DARN IT! Bat was neutered in
April and is a sweetheart who we present to visitors as beautiful example of the wonderful Maine Coon breed
Willow developed pyometria and was spayed in March 2007....she is doing fine, but we are sadden that our first Grand Champion will not
be able to give us any more wonderful kittens.
Xena has been spayed and just blossomed into an even more beautiful girl. Although we really didn’t want to alter her -she produced stunning kittens in her only litter for us- it was obviously the best thing to do for her health. She is a mother hen to all the new litters once they get run of the house, so she’s got a job for life here at Alopeke.
Rascal is Alopeke’s “Official Greeter” - a crowd pleaser/class clown. But his most important job is being Granddaughter Savanna’s BEST FRIEND
The search for this boy brought us more than we ever dreamed.....beautiful cats, treasured friends, the world of cat shows, Alopeke
Cattery, and the opportunity to produce and enjoy wonderful Maine Coon kittens. Life Is Good!
