The start of 2012 finds us at the end of Alopeke as a breeding cattery. Changes in our family dynamics have played a big part in
our decision, as did the loss of Bonnie as our only breeding girl due to pyometria. She has fully recovered and is back to her crazy self, so it was not as bad as it could have been. And we are still
surrounded by the cats most of you met when you came to pick up your kitten. Still LOTS to love...just in a much bigger package than a kitten!
We will still be here for all our kitten families and we want and need to hear about all our babies. And we want the good news and the not-so-good news; even tho we
are no longer breeding, the catteries who bred our cats are still active. We give feedback to them on health and personalities of our litters so they can make decisions about their lines.
We sure will miss the pitter-patter of kitten paws running around the house, but we still have the ‘thunder’ of the adults running around and they will
keep us plenty busy. We will be placing a few of our adults later this year...it’s hard to give any of them up, but we think they all deserve to be the ‘center’ of attention and
that is something we can’t give them.
It has been a pleasure meeting the families that adopted our babies and we treasure the friendships we have made thru our cats.
