ALOPEKE CATTERY KITTEN/CAT CONTRACT
1. Kittens/cats sold as pets a) cats will NOT be used for breeding b) females must be spayed no later than 6 months of age
c) males must be neutered no later than 8 months of age d) a certificate of altering must be provided to Alopeke.
CFA registration papers are released when proof of altering is received e) failure to have kittens altered within time frame will result in buyer paying an additional sum of $750.00 to Alopeke, plus court
costs taken on behalf of Alopeke f) kittens will not be de-clawed g) kittens will be kept as house pets unless supervised and safe when outside 2. Alopeke guarantees that kittens are healthy, tested free of Feline Leukemia/FIV and parasites before leaving our cattery. Kittens have been given at least two FVRCP vaccinations, dewormings and a flea preventative before going to new homes
3. Kitten buyer agrees to have kitten examined by a licensed vet within 48 hours of purchase(excluding weekends). If the kitten is found in ill-health the buyer must
notify Alopeke immediately. Upon receipt of written documentation from the vet, Alopeke will refund the cost of veterinary services for the illness. Beyond the initial 48 hours, Alopeke cannot be held responsible
for the overall health of the kittens 4. In the unlikely event a kitten is diagnosed with a genetic disorder and expires within the first year of purchase from said disorder, the buyer may be eligible for a replacement kitten or refund upon notification to Alopeke and within 24 hours of the kittens death. A full veterinary necropsy must be completed on the expired kitten, and copies of the report and all
medical records pertaining to the kitten must be submitted to Alopeke and its veterinary service provider for review. Only then will a replacement or refund be provided. 5. Kittens must loved and well taken care of, provided quality food and regular veterinary care.
6. Kittens will not be sold or given away without first notifying Alopeke. We will assist in new placement in any we can to ensure a good home for the cat. 7. A deposit of $350.00 is required to hold a kitten. The balance is due when the buyer takes possession of the kitten. If the buyer changes their mind after the deposit is made, the deposit will be refunded when the kitten is placed in another home. Buyers must bring a travel kennel for the kitten
8. Alopeke does not ship kittens. If a buyer wishes to fly with the kitten to their home, we will provide the necessary Health Certificate for the added sum of $35.00 9. Should the buyer fail to honor the terms of this agreement, the kitten shall be forfeited without compensation
We, the undersigned, consider this document legally binding. All parties must initial any/all changes.
